Are you looking for an adorable, perfect sized step up sport pony with fancy feet and a work ethic that won’t break the bank? Reggie might just be your guy.

TB Rembrandt, 14.3hh 13 y/o registered Arabian gelding. He is the kind of guy who would be featured in the horse movies you grew up on. The one who will nicker to you in the pasture, nuzzle you when you’re feeling down, and politely ask if you’re hiding any treats anywhere. Easy keeper, super solid feet, barefoot on a 6-week trim rotation, lives out 24/7 in a mixed herd, middle of the pecking order and very respectful of fences, structures, equipment, etc. The barn owners love him and would happily house him forever.

Pros:

  • Cutest face in the barn with ears always on point (no need for crinkly wrappers or jumping jacks here!) Perfect for all those selfies you’ll take with your new bestie.
  • Fabulous ground manners
  • Stands like a Saint for the vet, farrier, massage, etc
  • Mr. Versatility - Rides English, western, bareback
  • LOVES to jump
  • Exceptionally floaty gaits, the kind of canter you dream about
  • Fat on air, solid stocky built

Cons:

  • He perpetuates all the stereotypes about Arabian brains. He is wicked smart! Sometimes so smart that he finds right where the rider’s boundaries are to see if he can squeeze right past them.
  • He thinks faster than the speed of lightning. If he is bored, he will invent new challenges in the form of navigating invisible obstacles. It also means that he picks up tricks faster than your golden retriever, especially if there is the promise of snacks.
  • He wants a partnership and emotional support human who has the willingness and endurance to keep up with him on his next adventure.

This guy could easily be a superstar for a brave teen or adult ammy who is ready to find a committed partner for show jumping or the h/j world. He also could go back to his Western roots doing Working Eq or Western Dressage. We could even see him making the transition to endurance with conditioning and exposure.

Reggie does best with a rider who can ask clear questions confidently. He also thrives with consistency whether that's from his rider/owner or a more active program. He does his best when he is in work.
